On ordering an instrument a deposit of at least 25% of the agreed retail price will be paid before any work can commence.
(N.B. A deposit of at least 50% will be required when ordering Banjos, highly customised or other 'special order' instruments. Payment in full will be required when ordering instrument cases).
The retail price will be agreed by the customer and Pickard Acoustics, taking into account the instrument model, style and degree of customisation required, before the payment of the deposit.
Before any discussion regarding a custom instrument can begin there will be a charge of £ 150. This will entitle the customer to 10 hours of consultation/research/administration regarding the understanding of their requirements and the designing of their custom instrument. In the case of the 10 hours being exceeded a further payment will be required. Any surplus will be deducted from the final price of the instrument. (This payment will be deemed as non-returnable).
The customer will be advised as to the estimated date of completion; this being dependent upon current work in hand and orders yet to be fulfilled.
(Present waiting time of four to six months for non-custom instruments).
On completion of the order the remainder of the agreed price will be paid in full before the instrument can be delivered.
Delivery will be arranged between the customer and Pickard Acoustics and will be subject to a charge.
Any deposit paid will be deemed as non-returnable.
Returns Policy (applicable to 'In Stock' items only when purchased on-line, via the telephone or by mail order).
Returns accepted within 14 days of receipt. Notification of return is required. No refund of shipping charges will be offered. For full refund the goods must be returned in original condition and packaging.
